Having found original fame as a member of the girl group Destiny’s Child, Beyonce Knowles has been listed by Billboard as the most successful artist of the decade, helped somewhat by her sales totalling more than 100 million since her career began. The Houston born singer joined Destiny’s Child in the late 90s, which went on to become one of the best selling girl groups in history.

Beyonce’s solo career has also seen her touted as one of the most successful solo artists, with her debut album Dangerously in Love, released in 2003 producing the hits ‘Crazy in Love’ and ‘Bad Boy’. The success of the album saw Beyonce winning five Grammy Awards and releasing one of the most successful albums of that year. Not content with her success so far, Beyonce continued with two further albums – 2005’s B’Day, featuring ‘Irreplaceable’ and 2008’s I am Sasha Fierce, arguably her most successful to date.
