Bio

Remember Train? The US pop rock band made it big worldwide in 2001 with the title track off their sophomore album Drops of Jupiter. Though the group had had success with their debut self-titled album, it was the second album that saw them reaching multi-platinum status and winning a Grammy for best song and best arrangement. Train’s next two albums, 2003’s My Private Nation and 2005’s For Me, It’s You produced a few charting singles, they had only moderate commercial success compared to 2001 and in 2006 the band went on hiatus.
In 2009 the group reformed to prove their worth more than one hit wonder status with their first single in three years, ‘Hey, Soul Sister’, from the fifth studio album Save me San Fanscisco. The single reached top ten placing in the charts and was used for a Samsung ad during the Oscars, further boosting its digital sales by 81%. The second single, ‘If it’s Love’ has also received strong airplay and chart appearance.
